Have you ever?

Put one of these things together? It came in a million boxes. All inside one giant box.
We love to grill out. Especially now that it seems like summer time down here, it gave us the itch for grilling. Having family coming for the weekend put the spur under the saddle. Naturally I procrastinated and bought it Thurs. morning. Company was coming... Thurs. nite. That meant.. Thurs. afternoon... I had to put it together.
It was a long, hot afternoon on the deck. Reading directions. Finding pieces. Figuring out the left side vs. the right side (after I was over 1/2 way finished I realized there was a difference and had to take it all apart and start over). But the important thing is.. I.put.this.grill.together.all.by.myself. And it worked! mmm.. those hamburgers and brats were extra delicious on the grill (that I put together!) :)
I am woman. Hear me roar.

  1. Ok...between you, Carin, Amy...I am starting to feel so much like a girly girl! I tried to do something to the vacuum the other day, and my husband had to come home and fix it. :-( I hear ya' roarin' girl!!!

  2. I am more prone to breaking things and making someone else fix them, or I would just ruin them even more! We got the itch to grill in the winter, so dad had to dig/scoop out the grill! Like Darcie said, I hear ya roarin!

  3. haha! nothing like procrastinating :)
I'm the same way. I need to prove I can do it myself. I hate it when someone thinks that because I am female that I can't do anything. okay, off my soapbox.

  5. Wow! Heather, I am amazed by your ability to put that thing together. I would have waited for my hubby to get home and told him it is men's work and if he wanted it he should hurry up. My hubby is amazed at your ability to wait until the last minute to get a grill for company arriving that very evening. He thought he was the only one who could wait til the last and most inconvenient minute.

    Good for you! Go girl!!!!
